Voice-over resume refresh time!

Old profile vs. new, refreshed profile

Just like with any job application process, having a nice PDF resume / CV that lists your full experience is very useful for voice-over work.

As I have mentioned before, when I'm not in my booth talking my head off, I'm a graphic designer for corporate companies. For my freelance graphic design business, I'm anticipating needing to find a bit of new work / clients at the start of 2026, so I decided to refresh my design CV in Adobe InDesign - getting it ready for applications and cold calls.

However in doing so, I was really happy with the design I came up with - and decided to translate it into my voice acting resume too! I'm pretty happy with it. 😊

I've got a Canva template for it too, so other voice-over artists can use the clean layout / style if they wish (in their own branding of course), just get in touch with me if you'd like the link to it. I'd like to make them for the VA's though, to be honest - so that's also an option if you're not very design-savvy! 🤭

If any voice actors out there happen to see this blog and would like my help to make your resume PDF, please do email me, I'd absolutely LOVE to help you do it - I'll make sure your resume looks professional, and most importantly is accessible and set up properly for agency/client review. (remember, it's not just about how a CV looks with colour/fonts, it's about legibility and having things organised and tidy)

When applying to agencies, some prefer to have a simple ATS-friendly word doc version - so consider making one of these also. But overall, a nicely designed resume can make you stand out from the crowd.
